I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2007, from the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA. In 2007 (till November), I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Computer Vision and Image Processing Laboratory, Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, University of Louisville. Also in 2008 (till July), I was a Research Scientist at the Computational Biomedicine Laboratory, Computer Science Department, University of Houston. Currently, I am assistant professor at the Computer and Systems Department, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.

My research interests are focused in Algorithm Development in Computer Vision, Image Processing, & Medical Imaging: Specifically: Variational Level Sets, Image Segmentation, Shape Representation and Registration, Pattern Recognition, Image Registration.
