Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of the surface reconstruction of 3D objects from their contours in a family of cross-sectional images. Several techniques for both contour extraction and 3D surface reconstruction are surveyed. Application of some of these techniques on MRI slices of human head is presented (18 Refs.)
